22 YO Mr. Dhruv Garg – The Shining Star with the finesse for Steel

Make MSME contribute to Aatma Nirbhar Bharat

Gone are the days when the young generation of business families would make an early foray into their family-owned enterprises. Today, most families give a free hand to their young family members and encourage them to take their own decision of joining the family business or exploring options of their choice or preferences.

But for some young people making a foray into the family business is ‘then look no further’ milestone. They do not wish or find the need to look elsewhere. Let us talk about Mr. Dhruv Garg, CEO of Pankaj Steels, Bangalore. Barely 22 YO, Dhruv Garg is at the helm of Pankaj Steel, a flourishing steel enterprise established by Late Mr. Ramavtar Garg, his grandfather way back in the late 1970s along with his sibling Late Mr. Hari Ram Garg.

For the founders, the decade of the 1980s was full of hard work and diligence. During those years, Pankaj Steels set up a rolling steel mill in Bangalore. Pankaj Steel emerged as one of the prime suppliers catering to stainless steel products and galvanized iron products across South India.

The product range of Pankaj Steel expanded to include Bright Bars, Steel Rods, Steel Angles, S Bars, Flat Bars, TMT Bars, and MS Structured Steel. With exemplary customer support and an excellent distribution network, Pankaj Steel is catering to demands of Stainless Steel, galvanized iron pipes, bars, and much more across India.

Under the visionary zeal of Mr. Sanjay Garg and Dhruv Garg, Pankaj Steels has served many prestigious corporate clients such as JSW, Sail, TATA, VSP, and AONE along with renowned construction giants such as Prestige, NCC, VBHC, and many more. They have been the chief suppliers of industrial steel products and allied products to KSCA, Mayo Hall, and Chalukya Hotel amongst the other premier landmarks across the city of Bangalore.

Moving on to his personal life, Dhruv and Diksha, his sister has strong family values having raised in a typical Indian family. Dhruv is a down-to-earth and compassionate individual who cares and respects one and all. He is a very well disciplined, organized, and extremely punctual and family-oriented person.

A bright scholar, Dhruv acquired his bachelor’s degree in International Business from Christ University, Bangalore. He has completed his schooling from Good Shepherd International School (GSIS) and Cambridge Public School, based in Bangalore. He has received the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award (International Award for Young People). During his study years, he completed three projects viz. A Study on the Impact of National Steel Policy, 2017 on the Steel Industry Entrepreneurship Development Project and Social Responsibility Project.

Dhruv is known for his skills in sales, marketing, and account management within his business circle. He is an expert in negotiating business skills, a trait that comes after considerable expertise in handling business accounts. Since his paternal and maternal families have been in this business segment for years, he aspires to expand Pankaj Steels to the highest possible heights with him at the helm. It is his dream and vision to scale the heights and make Pankaj Steels synonymous with the Steel Industry of India.

His capabilities and business acumen are well above the levels of today’s young generation. Under the tutelage and mentorship of his father, Mr. Sanjay Garg, and other family members, Dhruv will certainly imbibe the best and the sharpest business skills and values.

To stay inspired, Dhruv states, ‘ I believe in shaping my destiny with trust in my abilities and faith in our god. These values are the pillars of existence and support for Pankaj Steel today and always.
