As a part of an outreach activity, CSI-AC (Computer Society of India Ahmedabad Chapter) had arranged an open talk/seminar for cyber security awareness and topic was “Secure Ourselves from Phishing Threats” on 28/May/2022 at Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA). Mr. Jigar Raval, Head, Computational Services Group (CSG), Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad. Mr. Jigar Raval is also Vice Chairman of CSI-AC.
For those who does not know, the definition of a phishing threat is any attempt to fraudulently solicit personal information from an individual or organization, or any attempt to deliver malicious software (malware), by posing as a trustworthy organization or entity.
Around 150 registered participants of technical and non-technical areas attended the seminar. The talk had demonstration on phishing threats with live examples on test setup. The participants appreciated the talk.
